Onsite Pro dashboard - job management and timesheets

Why UK carpenters use Onsite Pro

Running a carpenter business is mostly paperwork chasing. Job sheets in the van. Photos on engineers’ phones. Hours scribbled on the back of a quote. Then an evening re-keying it all so you can invoice on Friday.

Onsite Pro replaces that with a job sheet app your carpenters use on-site. Photos, time logged, customer signature, parts used – all attached to the job in real time. The office sees every update live. Invoices go out the moment work signs off, not days later. Still on paper? Why digital job sheets win covers the trade-offs honestly.

Built since 2012, from Lichfield, by people who actually understand UK trade business. Same founder, same UK team, since day one. We also run job management for building firms and kitchen and bathroom installers – useful if your firm covers joinery, fit-out and install work. Job Management Made Simple.

Honestly thought it'd be too much faff for what we do but it's surprisingly simple. The cut lists going straight to the workshop saves probably an hour a day of phone calls back and forth.

A carpenter's workflow with Onsite Pro

  1. Client enquiry or callout. Bespoke fit-out, fitted kitchen, second-fix, snagging – log the job with site address and scope in a couple of taps.
  2. Site measure and quote. Take measurements, attach drawings or sketches to the job, build a materials and labour quote, e-sign.
  3. Job slot in the diary. Drag onto your week, factor in lead times for any bespoke fabrication or material order.
  4. On-site with the brief on screen. Carpenter opens the job, sees the drawings, measurements, customer's chosen finishes – no shuttling paper plans about.
  5. Hours, materials, photos, sign-off. Hours by task, timber and ironmongery used, before-and-after pictures, customer signs the job sheet on the phone.
  6. Invoice with parts and labour pre-filled. Same day, before the van leaves the driveway. Invoice the quoted figure or the logged hours, depending how you priced the job.

Sole carpenters, growing teams, joinery and fit-out firms

Sole-trader carpenters

Look as professional as the bigger firms. One admin licence, one engineer licence, branded quotes, signed-off job sheets and invoices that go out before you leave the customer’s driveway.

Growing teams (2 to 5 carpenters)

Carpenters see their diaries on their phones. Stop chasing job sheets every Friday night. Customers get faster quotes, faster work, faster invoices. Office gets a real picture of who’s where.

Carpentry firms and joinery contractors (5 to 50)

Real-time GPS, skill-based scheduling, parts and stock across multiple vans, reporting that shows which carpenters are profitable and which jobs are over budget.

Common questions

Can my carpenters use the app without signal in workshops?
Yes. Full offline mode – complete job sheets, photos, signatures and time logs offline. Syncs back when on signal.
Does it handle bespoke specs and cut lists?
Attach any PDF, drawing, photo or spreadsheet to a job – cut lists, bespoke specs, supplier invoices. Linked to the customer for life of the job.
How does it work for a carpentry firm?
Office staff log in to the dashboard (£75/admin/month) and carpenters use the iOS or Android app (£20/engineer/month). Dispatch workshop and site separately.
Will it integrate with my accounts software?
CSV exports for QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or Zoho today. Direct integrations are on the roadmap.
How long is the free trial?
14 days. Full system, not a demo. No card required. Cancel anytime.
Is there a free job management app for carpenters I can try?
Yes – Onsite Pro offers a free 14-day trial of the full live system. Not a demo, the actual product with every feature unlocked. No credit card required.
Can I customise the digital job sheet template?
Yes. The digital job sheet is fully customisable – add your branded header, your terms, your custom fields, parts lists. Most carpenters stick close to the default because it covers most jobs out of the box.
Does it work for both bespoke joinery jobs and quick callouts?
Yes. Jobs can be one-hour callouts or multi-week installs. You log time and parts the same way – the system handles short visits and long-running projects in the same diary.
How does Onsite Pro handle quotes and invoices for carpenter work?
Quotes get built in seconds from the dashboard or the mobile app, with parts and labour pre-priced. Once accepted, they convert to a scheduled job in one tap. After work signs off, the job sheet becomes an invoice with the right hours, parts and customer details already filled in.
Is my customer and job data secure?
Each customer gets a dedicated UK-hosted database. HTTPS everywhere, daily off-site backups, no shared multi-tenant tables. Your data stays in UK jurisdiction.
Where is the Onsite Pro team based?
Lichfield, Staffordshire. Onsite Pro (originally launched as iManage App) has been based in Lichfield since 2012. Phone support is answered in the UK, not an outsourced call centre.
Can I see a demo before signing up?
Yes – book a 30-minute one-to-one demo with founder John Bryan. Tuesday to Friday between 11am and 3pm UK time. Book a demo.
Can I store dimensioned drawings against a bespoke job?
Yes – attach PDFs, photos, CAD exports to a job. Dimensions stay accessible to whoever's on-site and follow the job for life. Useful when you go back to amend work months later.
Does it differentiate between hourly callouts and fixed-price installs?
Yes – you choose at invoicing time whether to bill the quoted figure, the logged hours, or both (quoted figure plus any extra hours logged as line items). Coming soon: formal hourly / fixed / hybrid job types with automatic invoicing logic.
Can I track timber off-cuts and material waste against a job?
Yes – log materials against the job as you go. For now, waste tracking is done by recording delivered vs used in the job notes. Coming soon: material waste/variance reporting against each job.
